About this product

Reimagine the feeling of classic shorts. With our cotton shorts, everyday essentials no longer have to be ordinary.

What's in the Box

  • Moss pole section(s) — one per unit ordered
  • Stacking connector pin — for modular extension
  • Care & use card — printed on uncoated recycled paper
  • Kraft paper packaging — no plastic — box and padding go in household recycling
Materials & Sourcing
Printed in PLA+, a bioplastic derived from plant starch. Heat stable to 60 °C, warp-resistant, and inert in soil and water. Where the design includes an inner liner in sustained contact with wet soil (such as our self-watering pots), we use PETG instead — tougher and moisture-resistant where it counts. Filament sourced from European suppliers. No ABS, no virgin petroleum plastics.
Care & Longevity
Mist the pole when you water your plant — aerial roots are drawn to moisture. Keep out of sustained direct heat above 60 °C (a south-facing window is fine; an outdoor terrace in midsummer is not). Clean with a damp cloth or soft brush. The open lattice doesn't trap debris. With normal indoor care, the pole will outlast several repotting cycles — our test pieces have been running for three years without degradation.
Sustainability Footprint
Every pole is printed to order — no stock, no overproduction, nothing going to landfill unsold. Packaging is recycled cardboard and kraft paper; nothing in the box that can't go in household paper recycling. Shipping emissions are offset via a verified forestry programme (not a perfect solution — we say so on our sustainability page). Electricity for printing comes from the standard German grid mix, which is improving but not fully renewable yet.

01

Designed to 0.15 mm

Every pole starts as a precise 3D model — lattice density, connector geometry, and wall thickness all tuned for real plant behaviour.

Printed layer by layer

Each section is printed on demand in our Freiburg workshop. No batch production, no sitting in a warehouse.

Inspected by hand

We check every piece before it ships — layer adhesion, connector fit, surface finish. If something is off, it gets reprinted.

"We still print every order ourselves, still QC every piece by hand, and still refuse to ship something we wouldn't keep."
